Cape Town - The 77th annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted for the fifth time by British comedian Ricky Gervais, took place in Beverly Hills on Sunday night.
The celebrity-filled gala officially kicked off the 2020 award season in Hollywood and brought actors from the small- to the big-screen together in one room.

The Globes is seen as an excellent lead-up to the annual Academy Awards that will be taking place a lot earlier than usual this year on Sunday, 10 February.
South African viewers who missed the live broadcast of the Golden Globes on Monday morning can watch the rebroadcast at 20:00 on M-Net (DStv 101).
